Assaf Barnea, CEO of Kinrot Ventures, is visiting Silicon Valley to discuss Israeli innovations in water technology. His fund holds a portfolio of 13 startup companies, and works in cooperation with the Office of the Chief Scientist in Israel. Mr. Barnea spoke to a group of investors, water company executives, and government representatives at a dinner organized by the Consulate General of Israel in San Francisco, and co-sponsored by the CICC and Perkins Coie in Palo Alto. When asked how Silicon Valley and the cleantech community can help increase awareness of water issues and investment concerns, Mr. Barnea strongly encouraged attendees to visit WATEC Israel in November 2011. The conference brings together over 18,000 attendees from over 94 countries, and focuses on water technologies, renewable energy and environmental control.
