AMD, one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world, has announced that it will be opening up an R&D center in Tel Aviv. This comes after AMD's acquisition of Graphic Remedy, an Israeli startup, which specializes in development tools for heterogenous computing and 3D graphics. The acquisition was priced at approximately $5 million.
AMD has announced that the R&D center in Israel will focus on next-generation parallel computing platforms.
