An adult passport can be extended for up to 10 years from the
day it was issued, and up to 5 years for a minor citizen under
the age of 18. A passport that was given as a result of a lost/stolen/mutilated passport will be extended by one year only.
In order to extend a passport please provide the following:
- Passport
- Passport Extension Form
- Return Mail
Payment
Notes:
- Passports issued to minors are only valid for a maximum
of 5 years, regardless if the holder is now an adult.
- Example: A 20-year-old, holding a passport that
was issued to him at the age of 15 cannot extended his
passport. He must apply for a new passport.
- When applying to extend a minor's passport, both parents (regardless of citizenship) must sign the application in front of a notary public or Consular
employee.
- There is no charge for the extension service.
- Be advised, a passport may be limited by several types of constraints
including:
- Required personal information update (married, divorced,
widowed).
- The citizen has not been to Israel for over 10 years.
- Military service.
